Schneider Electric is one of the world’s largest providers of electrical equipment for the home, including our top-rated Square D by Schneider Electric connected home products. We operate in 190 countries worldwide, which includes over 40 employees here in Boulder County. We think of ourselves as one of the most local of global companies, and the Marshall Fire affected our friends and our neighbors. As an Impact Company, we believe it is important to help our community rebuild and recover.
We see the need to create homes that are both sustainable and smart, with futuristic functionality that can help you save energy and live comfortably. To this end, we have created a customizable package for survivors of the Marshall Fire which will provide a 10% discount on Schneider Electric equipment via your existing builder or contractor. This discounted package will allow you to build back to the more stringent EnergyStar NextGen certification for less than you would spend on a more traditional equipment package, which only meets minimum electrical code requirements.
If you are planning to build back to a more stringent requirement, this will provide your contractor discounted access to the Schneider Electric equipment needed to do so. If you are unable to build to more efficient requirements today, you may still want to consider installing this upgraded electrical equipment at the reduced cost, to enable easier and cheaper migration to more electrical appliances in the future, and to enjoy a variety of smart home features today.
The recommended package includes:
- Code-compliant Combination Service Entrance Panel, generously sized to meet your needs now while leaving room for future electrical upgrades
- Home Energy Monitor System, which will allow you to see energy usage in your home through the included phone app. You can save money, and receive alerts when appliances, garage openers, etc. are activated
- Various circuit breakers, traditional light switches, and outlets, in customizable quantities
- Optional upgrades including connected light switches and outlets, which are Wi-Fi-enabled and connect to the Home Energy App, allowing control of devices directly from your phone, or through integration with an in-home voice assistant. Control can be real-time, scheduled, or via scenes set throughout the home
To obtain the discount, please follow the steps outlined below:
1. Electric contractor contacts their preferred Schneider Electric distributor location to learn about the details of the discount and purchasing process. The Marshall Fire discount level is 10%, and is in addition to any preferential pricing they may already receive.
2. Distributor will verify contractor and project eligibility, then will send project info to the Schneider Electric quoting team. To verify eligibility, the contractor and distributor must reference the Marshall Fire, and provide the homeowner name and address.
3. A quote is then authorized and sent to the distributor.
4. Electrical contractor uses the distributor product quote, and is requested to pass along this discount (voluntary only) to the homeowner.
Discount program is approved to run for 6 months from first use, and may be eligible for program extension.
